FAQ
Will my skin break out in spots after I have had a facial?
This will depend on your skin condition and the treatment selected, eg a purifying face treatment could result in an initial break-out of spots, but by having regular treatments and following a recommended homecare plan, your skin should improve and be less likely to break out in the future.

Why should I buy my products from a professional salon?
Most of us are familiar with our skin type, ie dry, oily, combination etc but our skin condition will change periodically due to the environment, stress, medication, hormones, etc. Purchasing your products after having a professional skin analysis can help you to identify these changes and have your skin functioning at it's optimum health.
What are hydroxy acids?
The human skin produces about 5 billion skin cells every day. Through the process of skin cell rejuvenation, old surface cells harden and lose moisture. These dead cells can dull and dry the skin surface and cause clogging and congestion. Hydroxy acids are exfoliating agents and include lactic acid and salicylic acid which gently detach surface cells and stimulate cell renewal. They are usually combined with enzymes such as Bromelain and Papain from Pineapple and Papaya which digest the protein of dead cells, leaving the skin looking smooth and clear.
How often should I have my legs waxed - and will it hurt?
On average every 4-6 weeks, but this will vary for each individual. Strong, dark hairs are more noticeable and can grow faster than softer, finer hairs - but this is only a guide. With regular waxing treatments most people find the growth becomes more sparse and their appointments become less frequent. Waxing does sting, but the level of discomfort depends on your pain threshold and skin sensitivity.
If I have a bronzing treatment will it be patchy or streaky - and will I look orange?
The 2 most common reasons for an unsuccessful result are dry skin and uneven application. We always ask that you exfoliate and moisturise thoroughly before your treatment, (don't moisturise on the day of your appointment) and with a colour guide in the product we can be sure of an even application every time. With the advancements in ingredient technology, the 'tango-d' appearance is almost eliminated. This is usually a result of overspraying or overapplication.
